A 12-page pamphlet published to record William C. Gatewood's case in the South Carolina Court of Equity. The case involves estate originally willed by Henry Laurens to his granddaughter, Frances Eleanor Laurens, and son, Henry Laurens Jr. Gatewood became entitled to a portion of the estate when it was given to him as a surety by Edward R. Laurens, but the defendants in the case refuse to acknowledge Gatewood's claim or resist partitioning the estate without an order from the court.
