The Account Journal, 1774-1777, was written by an unknown author recording financial accounts, tasks performed by enslaved persons, the planting of indigo, cotton, rice and corn and numerous memorandums between Paul Villepontoux and Peter Marion. A few journal entries reference enslaved persons who ran away from the plantations as well as verses pertaining to freedom and General George Washington. Journal contains entries from a second use, which are written upside down and interspersed with the first use.

The A.B Flagg Medical Day Book, 1792-1853, is the medical account of Doctor Arthur Belin Flagg. This book includes descriptions of medical treatments and a list of fees for medical services for plantation families and slaves. The details includes the names of the plantation owners and the names of the enslaved peoples. Also recorded in this account book is Dr. Flagg's visit to the military location Camp Magill in Waccamaw, South Carolina to treat wounded soldiers during the Civil War in 1861.The last section of the book was written starting from the back of the book resulting in upside down pages. Receipts include the payments made to buyers of enslaved people, money sent for subscriptions to newspapers and to the Charleston Library Society and the American Revolution Society. Other receipts include dividends to the State Bank and employee wages.

The John Ball Plantation Account Book, 1812-1834, is an indexed account book kept by overseers at various plantations owned by the Ball family. Overseers named are John Cox, Arthur McFarland, Samuel Lynes, Alexander McKnight, Britton Bunch, John Dickson, Thomas Fincklea, James Coward, and John Page. Of particular interest are two different accounts, one with William Deas, referred to as a "Mulatto" and the other "Free Nancy," a free black woman at Limerick Plantation who was buying and trading rice and sugar.

Examples of receipts found in the book include wages for overseers at Nightingale Hall Plantation, Exchange Plantation and Matanza Plantation, later known as Chicora Wood, as well as purchases of enslaved persons and travel expenses.
The Theodore Louis Gourdin Estate Record consists of accounts and inventories for Murray's Ferry, Red Clay, and other Williamsburg County Plantations written by estate executor Theodore Gourdin. The Edisto Island Presbyterian Church Register is an unbound book recorded between 1837-1901. Also included is the constitution of the Edisto Union Church, which was formed by Africans Americans, formerly enslaved, who took over the Edisto Island Presbyterian Church following the Civil War.
