- The Day Book for Henry Ravenel Junior, Wood Ville, 1806-1822, is a book divided into two sections. The first section lists the names of slaves and their decedents, lists of purchased slaves with name, name of previous owner, date and price, and slaves who received shoes. The second half, which appears upside down, records family events, visits to the Pineville theatre, traveling, engagements, marriages, deaths, and attendance at the Jockey Club. Also included are entries about a hunting party to capture or kill fugitive slaves, the promise of emancipation for two female "mulatto" child slaves, and a trial over the body of a slave woman who was punished to death. This book contains a second use written upside-down and back to front.

The lists include the first name of the child, their parents, date of birth and occasionally includes notes of death or if purchased by another slave owner. This book contains a second use written upside down and back to front.

- The Weehaw Plantation Journal, 1855-1861, is a journal of Weehaw Plantation, near Georgetown regarding birth, death, duties, vaccinations, tasks and allowances of enslaved people, plantation expenses, names of overseers, listings of rice crops, clothing for enslaved people, cattle, yearly accounts, tools, usage of fields, vegetable garden production, medicines, house groceries and contracts. The journal is also used as a partial diary regarding the plantation with comments on Abraham Lincoln's inaugural address, secession of South Carolina, the days leading up to the attack on Fort Sumpter, the day of the attack on Fort Sumpter, lists of enslaved persons winter and summer clothes and mentions of recruiting for Hampton's Legion for the Confederate States of America. Loose papers found within the journal contain names of enslaved persons and notes on the plantation.

- The Account Book of Enslaved Persons Bequeathed to Mrs. Elizabeth B. Lowndes and Charles C. Pinckney, 1841-1857, is a bound volume composed of accounts for individual enslaved persons given by Mrs. T.M. Pinckney from Eldorado Plantation and from Mrs. E. B Lowndes' late husband. Each account lists the name of the enslaved person and slaveholder. Numerous entries contain notations on date of death or family members of that enslaved person.

- The Fairfield Plantation Book, 1775-1794, is a clothing and blanketing book containing the names of enslaved persons (1773), children born at the plantation (1775), a list of clothes, blankets and tools given out to enslaved persons (1773-1775), cattle and hog inventory, lists of births and deaths of enslaved persons (1792-1797), and lists of enslaved families at Fairfield and Wappoo Plantations (1773-1797). The book contains a second use written back to front and upside down.
7. Henry Ravenel Crop Book, 1809-1832

- The Henry Ravenel Crop Book, 1809-1832 is a book divided into two separate sections that also includes loose notes found within the book. The first section records the names and ages of the enslaved children born on the plantation and the names of their parents. The second half of the book, which appears upside down as the book was flipped for a new section, records the weather conditions, crop farming and the tasks completed by the slaves. The loose papers record the names of the enslaved people, slaves divided and allotted to Henry, Thomas, Rene and William Ravenel, the number of male and female slaves and a note to sell a family of slaves with their names and ages.

- The Kiawah Plantation Book, 1854-1861, is kept by a member of the Vanderhorst Family for their estate Kiawah Plantation on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. The book includes the names of enslaved men, women and children, mentions of slave allowances, blankets given out to slaves, payments to the overseer and information related to crops and livestock.

- The Ball Family Account and Blanket Book, 1720-1778, includes lists of purchases, expenses, blankets given out to enslaved persons, and names/ages of enslaved persons at Midway, Limerick, Comingtee and Kensington Plantations. The book includes a loose list of enslaved men with their place of birth and ages, ca. 1750, currently on exhibit at the South Carolina Historical Society Museum.

- Mulberry Plantation Journal Volume Four was kept and written by John Boyle Milliken between 1860-1889. The journal includes accounts with plantation owners, tax returns, enslaved men, women and children, entries related to the planting of rice, various garden crops and other tasks performed by freedmen and women, visits to and from friends, church services and political views. Specific entries include discussions surrounding the shooting of President Andrew Garfield, the 1884 presidential election, earthquakes and hurricanes.
12. Good Hope Plantation Journal

- The Good Hope Plantation Account Book is a bound volume containg accounts of plantation finances and slaves at Good Hope Plantation which was inherited by Joseph Dulles from Ann Heatley Reid Lovell. Entries include the delivery of slaves to Augustus Marshall with the names and ages of each slave and other notations concerning to which states they were sent and occasionally dates of death. Also included are entries listing plantation stock, crops, and other goods, including the names of buyers and prices paid. Cash accounts recorded in the book include amounts paid for slaves and numerous goods. Other entries includes proceeds from plantation stock sales. Loose papers contain information about the amount of cotton produced, names of overseers and the names of slaves, their parents, births and death dates, ages and diseases. - The Springfield Plantation Journal, 1831-1864 owned by Francis Withers and later John Ward is a record of the enslaved men, women and children on Springfield Plantation in Georgetown County, South Carolina. The journal includes agricultural information and business records for rice and corn as well as harvesting data throughout the county. Also recorded in the Springfield Plantation Journal are births of children born into slavery, loose pages from the journal and a 1864 letter by J.H Thompson, Office of the Clerk of Court from Horry District requesting the prescence of Mr. W.H. Tucker, R. Poston and W. M. Oliver for an election of a new sheriff.

The journal also records inventory lists for items such as tobacco and cattle and lists the blanket and clothing distributions for the slaves.
