Louis Muller's recognition of fifty years of service at St. Matthw's German Lutheran Church, including his first service on Easter Sunday in 1848 and his record of service including, 4,402 baptisms, 1,440 confirmations, 1503 marriages, and burials of 4,163 friends, inlcuding the period in 1854 when the yellow fever epidemic swept through Charleston.
