- The Edisto Island Presbyterian Church Register is an unbound book recorded between 1837-1901. The register contains minutes from church sessions, baptism and marriage records, church memberships and church controversies with references to enslaved men and women by name and the accusations against them. Also included is the constitution of the Edisto Union Church, which was formed by Africans Americans, formerly enslaved, who took over the Edisto Island Presbyterian Church following the Civil War.

- The Isaac Hayne Journal contains information on births, ages, deaths, marriages, memorandums, information on breeding horses, ages of enslaved men, women and children and bills of scantling. The entries on ages contain an alphabetical listing of individuals and their birth dates and entries on slaves include births, deaths and occasional notes concerning the sale of slaves as well as runaway slaves. The journal also includes notes on plantation management such as the issuing of blankets and the work of overseers, plowmen, housekeepers, and others.

The volume lists crops at Hyde Park, Limerick, Jericho and Quinby Plantations as well as specifications for a rice mill at Limerick Plantation. Dried, pressed tree leaves are compressed throughout the blank pages. Also found within the volume are a list of enslaved persons given plough lines at various plantations. - The John Ball Plantation Account Book, 1812-1834, is an indexed account book kept by overseers at various plantations owned by the Ball family. Overseers named are John Cox, Arthur McFarland, Samuel Lynes, Alexander McKnight, Britton Bunch, John Dickson, Thomas Fincklea, James Coward, and John Page. Of particular interest are two different accounts, one with William Deas, referred to as a "Mulatto" and the other "Free Nancy," a free black woman at Limerick Plantation who was buying and trading rice and sugar.

Families seeking medical treatment include Porcher, Dubois, Gaillard, Foxworth, Marion, Moore, Ravenel, Broughton and many others. Some of the diseases and injuries being treated are rheumatic diseases, fevers, fractures, kidney disease, a miscarriage, and an amputation on a child slave.

- The Henry Ravenel Crop Book, 1809-1832 is a book divided into two separate sections that also includes loose notes found within the book. The first section records the names and ages of the enslaved children born on the plantation and the names of their parents. The second half of the book, which appears upside down as the book was flipped for a new section, records the weather conditions, crop farming and the tasks completed by the slaves. The loose papers record the names of the enslaved people, slaves divided and allotted to Henry, Thomas, Rene and William Ravenel, the number of male and female slaves and a note to sell a family of slaves with their names and ages.

- The Lydia Waring Estate Book contains a copy of Lydia Jane Ball Waring's will, copies of inventories and appraisals of goods and chattel at Comingtee Plantation and at 21 East Bay Street, Charleston, South Carolina. Accounts also include those of John B. Waring, Ann Simons Waring, and Francis Malbone Waring with their guardians Keating Simons Ball and Ann Deas. The accounts contain appraisements of slaves, their names and the amount obtained from the wages of slaves and expenses incurred by slaves.

The first half of the account book contains various lists of enslaved men, women and children owned by John Ball at Comingtee/Stoke, Kensington and Midway Plantations in Berkeley County, South Carolina. These lists include enslaved persons given first or second quality blankets, cloth, clothes and osnaburg fabric as well as lists of pregnant enslaved women or enslaved infants given clothes. The second half of the book contains stories retold by various persons on topics such as an eyewitness account of the Steamship Pulaski Disaster in 1838, stories of enslaved persons including the execution of an enslaved man, stories about the family of George Chicken, eyewitness accounts of the British occupation in Charleston during the Revolutionary War, numerous ghost stories and an account of the first settlers of Charlestown.

- The Springfield Plantation Journal, 1831-1864 owned by Francis Withers and later John Ward is a record of the enslaved men, women and children on Springfield Plantation in Georgetown County, South Carolina. The journal includes agricultural information and business records for rice and corn as well as harvesting data throughout the county. Also recorded in the Springfield Plantation Journal are births of children born into slavery, loose pages from the journal and a 1864 letter by J.H Thompson, Office of the Clerk of Court from Horry District requesting the prescence of Mr. W.H. Tucker, R. Poston and W. M. Oliver for an election of a new sheriff.

- The Good Hope Plantation Account Book is a bound volume containg accounts of plantation finances and slaves at Good Hope Plantation which was inherited by Joseph Dulles from Ann Heatley Reid Lovell. Entries include the delivery of slaves to Augustus Marshall with the names and ages of each slave and other notations concerning to which states they were sent and occasionally dates of death. Also included are entries listing plantation stock, crops, and other goods, including the names of buyers and prices paid. Cash accounts recorded in the book include amounts paid for slaves and numerous goods. Other entries includes proceeds from plantation stock sales.
