- The Fairfield Plantation Book, 1775-1794, is a clothing and blanketing book containing the names of enslaved persons (1773), children born at the plantation (1775), a list of clothes, blankets and tools given out to enslaved persons (1773-1775), cattle and hog inventory, lists of births and deaths of enslaved persons (1792-1797), and lists of enslaved families at Fairfield and Wappoo Plantations (1773-1797). The book contains a second use written back to front and upside down.

- The Register of Enslaved Persons and Blanket Book, 1804-1821, is a bound volume kept by or for a member of the Ball family. The register contains lists of enslaved men, women and children given blankets at Midway, Limerick, Quinby, Hyde Park, Backriver and Jericho Plantations. Information also includes lists of enslaved children born on the plantations, the name of their mother, date of birth and date of death.

- The Day Book for Henry Ravenel Junior, Wood Ville, 1806-1822, is a book divided into two sections. The first section lists the names of slaves and their decedents, lists of purchased slaves with name, name of previous owner, date and price, and slaves who received shoes. The second half, which appears upside down, records family events, visits to the Pineville theatre, traveling, engagements, marriages, deaths, and attendance at the Jockey Club. Also included are entries about a hunting party to capture or kill fugitive slaves, the promise of emancipation for two female "mulatto" child slaves, and a trial over the body of a slave woman who was punished to death. This book contains a second use written upside-down and back to front.

- The Medical Account Book of Dr. George Paddon Bond Hasell contains medical entries on visits and treatments for Georgetown County plantation families and their slaves between 1812-1816. The book is written in both English and Latin and references enslaved people by their first name, the name of their slave owner or by using the letter "N" before their name.

- The John Ball Plantation Account Book, 1812-1834, is an indexed account book kept by overseers at various plantations owned by the Ball family. Overseers named are John Cox, Arthur McFarland, Samuel Lynes, Alexander McKnight, Britton Bunch, John Dickson, Thomas Fincklea, James Coward, and John Page. Of particular interest are two different accounts, one with William Deas, referred to as a "Mulatto" and the other "Free Nancy," a free black woman at Limerick Plantation who was buying and trading rice and sugar.

- The Henry Ravenel Medical Book, 1816-1834 records medical visits and prescriptions for families and their slaves by physician Henry Ravenel. Families seeking medical treatment include Porcher, Dubois, Gaillard, Foxworth, Marion, Moore, Ravenel, Broughton and many others. Some of the diseases and injuries being treated are rheumatic diseases, fevers, fractures, kidney disease, a miscarriage, and an amputation on a child slave.

- The Henry Ravenel Crop Book, 1809-1832 is a book divided into two separate sections that also includes loose notes found within the book. The first section records the names and ages of the enslaved children born on the plantation and the names of their parents. The second half of the book, which appears upside down as the book was flipped for a new section, records the weather conditions, crop farming and the tasks completed by the slaves. The loose papers record the names of the enslaved people, slaves divided and allotted to Henry, Thomas, Rene and William Ravenel, the number of male and female slaves and a note to sell a family of slaves with their names and ages.

- The Journal of Robert Barnwell is a record of names for the enslaved men, women and children between the years 1838-1859. The slaves are recorded at the locations of Cotton Hope Plantation, Bulls Point Plantation, Briars Plantation and Woodward Plantation in Beaufort County, South Carolina. The journal also records inventory lists for items such as tobacco and cattle and lists the blanket and clothing distributions for the slaves. The first half of the account book contains various lists of enslaved men, women and children owned by John Ball at Comingtee/Stoke, Kensington and Midway Plantations in Berkeley County, South Carolina. These lists include enslaved persons given first or second quality blankets, cloth, clothes and osnaburg fabric as well as lists of pregnant enslaved women or enslaved infants given clothes. The second half of the book contains stories retold by various persons on topics such as an eyewitness account of the Steamship Pulaski Disaster in 1838, stories of enslaved persons including the execution of an enslaved man, stories about the family of George Chicken, eyewitness accounts of the British occupation in Charleston during the Revolutionary War, numerous ghost stories and an account of the first settlers of Charlestown.

The journal includes agricultural information and business records for rice and corn as well as harvesting data throughout the county. Also recorded in the Springfield Plantation Journal are births of children born into slavery, loose pages from the journal and a 1864 letter by J.H Thompson, Office of the Clerk of Court from Horry District requesting the prescence of Mr. W.H. Tucker, R. Poston and W. M. Oliver for an election of a new sheriff.

- The Weehaw Plantation Journal, 1855-1861, is a journal of Weehaw Plantation, near Georgetown regarding birth, death, duties, vaccinations, tasks and allowances of enslaved people, plantation expenses, names of overseers, listings of rice crops, clothing for enslaved people, cattle, yearly accounts, tools, usage of fields, vegetable garden production, medicines, house groceries and contracts. The journal is also used as a partial diary regarding the plantation with comments on Abraham Lincoln's inaugural address, secession of South Carolina, the days leading up to the attack on Fort Sumpter, the day of the attack on Fort Sumpter, lists of enslaved persons winter and summer clothes and mentions of recruiting for Hampton's Legion for the Confederate States of America. Loose papers found within the journal contain names of enslaved persons and notes on the plantation.

Pinckney, 1841-1857, is a bound volume composed of accounts for individual enslaved persons given by Mrs. T.M. Pinckney from Eldorado Plantation and from Mrs. E. B Lowndes' late husband. Each account lists the name of the enslaved person and slaveholder. Numerous entries contain notations on date of death or family members of that enslaved person.

Patients consist of many Georgetown County families and their enslaved persons. Medical treatments include amputations, tooth extractions, diagnoses of rheumatic diseases and treatment of bone fractures.

- The Estate Book of Hannah Tait, 1836-1860, records the financial accounts for the estate of Hannah Tait with Robert F.W. Allston as executor. The beginning of the book contains the last will and testament of Hannah Tait in which she outlines her wishes for the division of her estate and paying off of debts. Tait leaves her daughter Elizabeth Shackleford her enslaved persons but if Shackleford dies, the enslaved persons are to be "sold at a private sale to humane masters." The book also includes a copy of the inventory and appraisement of the enslaved persons.

- The Good Hope Plantation Account Book is a bound volume containg accounts of plantation finances and slaves at Good Hope Plantation which was inherited by Joseph Dulles from Ann Heatley Reid Lovell. Entries include the delivery of slaves to Augustus Marshall with the names and ages of each slave and other notations concerning to which states they were sent and occasionally dates of death. Also included are entries listing plantation stock, crops, and other goods, including the names of buyers and prices paid. Cash accounts recorded in the book include amounts paid for slaves and numerous goods. Other entries includes proceeds from plantation stock sales. Loose papers contain information about the amount of cotton produced, names of overseers and the names of slaves, their parents, births and death dates, ages and diseases. William Dehon and Rev. Christopher D. Gadsden. The book also makes notations regarding enslaved persons who were dead upon receiving baptism. The last two pages are entries about the enslaved persons who underwent the rite of confirmation.

The book records the names of the enslaved men, women and children on Chicora Wood and Nightingale Hall Plantations as well as their births, deaths and whether they were hired out by other South Carolina plantation owners. Other entries include information on crops, payments and the smoking of bacon.

- The Robert F.W. Allston 1860 Almanac is a Miller's Planters' and Merchants Almanac for the year 1860 repurposed as a journal. Personal entries include account pages for bushels of rice, a list of enslaved men, women and children who were born and died at Chicora Wood Plantation, the purchase of enslaved people, a presentation of a billiard table to the Lunatic Asylum, a meeting with Laymen in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and work on the Georgetown Railroad.
