Black-and-white photographic postcard of the exterior of the New Synagogue on Diagonal Street (Jingwei Street) in the Pristan (Diaoli) distrct of Harbin.
Postcard has two photographic images of 812 Bay Sreet taken circa 1880 and circa 1980. Tradition tells us that the tavern was raided by pirates. The walls are made of tabby, composed of clay and oyster shells, and are 16 inches thick.
