About the Collection

The Historic Meeting Minutes of Mullins, South Carolina, includes minute books that date back to 1913. These records illustrate the development of Mullins as it transformed into the tobacco capital of South Carolina. Additionally, they document the city’s reactions to significant events such as the Great Depression, World War II, outbreaks of tuberculosis and rats, along with the journey towards achieving equality in city government.

This collection was digitized and made freely available online through the generous support of the South Carolina State Historical Records Advisory Board (SC SHRAB)’s Historical Records Regrant Program. The Historical Records Regrant Program is funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission.
