About the Collection
The Loose Papers of the Summerville Museum and Research Center collection consists of discrete manuscripts and documents from the museum’s archives. These papers include letters between Confederate officers during the Civil War, legal documents from the 1700s and 1800s, and a letter from a Confederate regiment officer to Governor Bonham arguing for allowing the soldiers to return home.
