Charleston 20th June 1819. My Dear Mother I have sent for several days to the wharf in hopes of Bythewoods arrival and hearing from you but all without effort By this time you may imagine I have been remiss on my part but I assure you I have been entirely too sick to write. This is the first time for ten days that I have attempted to walk down stairs and I have been almost the whole of that time in bed-My fever has never left me and I have a little of it now. I hope in a few days if I get better to take a sail to Beaufort in My Fathers vessel and again have the happiness of seeing my Mother sisters and children Edward and Nat continue well and I am with much love to the family Yrs. very Affectionately N. Heyward Junr. [End Page 1]Mrs. Mary Barnwell Beaufort S.C. [End Page 2]
