Madame Lynch JMJ Ursuline Convent Columbia SC Jan 7th 1859 My Dearest Brother, I do not know why it is, but I feel very anxious about you-I am afraid you have money difficulties at this time. If John was here get me a $100 one hundred dollar bill I would send it to you, and feel happy in being able to return that much, even tho' I had to call on you later on, which I hope may not be the case. As it is I enclose a twenty dollar bill and if you will come I will give you the rest, which will be safer than sending- It is so late at night, I write only good night and love to Francis Pray for you own sister Ellen MB S
