It covers subjects such as births and deaths of family and slaves; illness; finances; farming rice, corn and indigo; slavery; weather observations; the American Revolution; and building projects. A span of 54 blank pages in the middle of the document is represented by a single image. Further, the latter half of the document appears flipped 90 degrees in the original document but has been rotated for easier online viewing.
