The lists include the first name of the child, their parents, date of birth and occasionally includes notes of death or if purchased by another slave owner. This book contains a second use written upside down and back to front.

The A.B Flagg Medical Day Book, 1792-1853, is the medical account of Doctor Arthur Belin Flagg. This book includes descriptions of medical treatments and a list of fees for medical services for plantation families and slaves. The details includes the names of the plantation owners and the names of the enslaved peoples. Also recorded in this account book is Dr. Flagg's visit to the military location Camp Magill in Waccamaw, South Carolina to treat wounded soldiers during the Civil War in 1861.The last section of the book was written starting from the back of the book resulting in upside down pages.
